The first part on the screenplay is two male actors at the beginning in police uniforms talking at a desk in a darkened room drinking coffee. Sgt Johnson hands the other one a script and asks them if they are going to get "cold feet" on their first assignment. Officer Piggs assures him over and over again that he is ready for this so he can prove himself that he is the best man for the job and heartily adds that he is "good with people". Johnson pushes the script towards Piggs and tells him he wants to hear him practice his lines to which Piggs delivers them. At first Piggs repeats the script unsatisfactory to Johnson to which Johnson replies that he was terrible and prompts him to try again. Piggs tries again and eventually delivers the lines which show the audience what his assignment will be.
Middle:
The next scene is set with Piggs walking away from a house with "casual" clothes on. In the first shot you can only see his feet and when he stops walking the camera pans up to show the audience the rest of his clothes and up to his face where he sighs and says that he looking like a "fucking idiot". Piggs calls Johnson on the phone and puts it on loudspeaker saying that maybe he isn't the right guy for the job. The audience will be able to hear Johnson on the phone shouting that he's the only guy down at the force who is available and that he can't get "cold feet now" and that he needs to "man the fuck up". Piggs is wincing at this conversation and at the end sighs and says "Alright Sir" and hangs up. Piggs proceeds to walk into a classroom which is empty apart from three male students in hoodies (Dave, Sal and Knuckles) laughing at the middle student's (Sal) phone. They all stop laughing and look up when Piggs clears his throat. Knuckles looks up at him threatening whilst Dave grins at him and Sal asks "who the hell are you?" Piggs looks nervous and stammers his name is Joe. Knuckles leans forward looking slightly angry and says "Joe what?" Piggs nearly slips up by half saying his last name and stops to which Dave says "Joe Pi?" and Piggs nervously makes up a name on the spot which ends up being Pink. There is a silence until Dave and Sal start laughing hysterically but Knuckles stays silent and breathes in heavily to which the camera is focused on his and then back at Piggs who stop laughing nervously.
Piggs starts conversation asking if they can lend him a lighter to which Sal tells him that he can use his and they go to the rec near the college with him despite Knuckle's disapproval. When they get there, they give him the lighter and look confused when he doesn't smoke and ask him if he's going to start "begging for cigarettes now?" Piggs nervously tries to speak until Dave yells out "Oh my God he's high!" to which him, Sal and Piggs laugh again whilst Knuckles glares with the camera pointing at him again. Dave suddenly speaks saying "Oh shit yeah.." and reaches into his pocket and pulls out a small bag with white powder inside and says "here I got this from Johnny!" Piggs eyes widen which is seen for a second until the camera points back at Dave laughing to himself and looking at Sal and Knuckles and asking "What?" when they both look shifty Knuckles grabs onto Dave's left shoulder and Sal the right to which the camera points upwards whilst they are circled round pondering between the three whether they should trust this "Joe Pink guy". Knuckles says he "Doesn't like the look of him," but Dave says "He seems cool, I like the colour pink!" The three students turn back towards Piggs to which Sal says that he's "in" but not to say a word.
Piggs runs and when he stops outside in the college car park he starts panting. He rings Johnson and starts telling him he has found the "perpetrators". Johnson demands to know where they are and Piggs tell him that he isn't with them right now. Johnson informs him impatiently that he needs to "bring them in" but as smoothly as possible.
The next scene Dave, Sal and Knuckles are walking into the car park where Piggs is. Dave greets him as does Sal but Knuckles stays silent. Piggs attempts to "take them down" by shouting "freeze!" nervously but the students laugh after a long pause. Piggs goes on saying how he "means what he is saying and proceeds to take out his police badge from his wallet in a shaky fashion whilst the students laugh at him. After seeing the badge Dave and Sal panic but Knuckles charges towards Piggs and falls when he steps aside. Piggs develops a more aggressive attitude from all the adrenaline. Piggs puts Knuckles into handcuffs hilst he is groaning on the floor and shouting at Dave and Sal that they better "stay put". The shot fades out.
At the end of the scene a black shot comes up saying "a few hours later..." and it fade out to show a scene with the three students sitting in the darkened room looking down. Piggs walks briefly behind them saying how he "doesn't want any shit from the three of you!" and Johnson follows him saying he has done a good job. Dave Sal and Knuckles sit in silence for a few seconds to which Dave suddenly breaks the silence by saying "So...Joe Pink become a cop! That is so cool!" to which Sal and Knuckles groan and Knuckles slams his arms on the desk saying "For Christ's sake..."
